Femme Guild Fundraiser Movie Night – 'Mommy is Coming'

In conjunction with Queer Screen, the Guild is showing the queer porn-comedy 'Mommy is Coming'.

'Claudine and Dylan enjoy a happy relationship for the most part. But Dylan in particular is convinced that queer Berlin must surely have more to offer than monogamous lesbianism. And so the women decide to set off on a journey of discovery: Dylan discovers a new sex club where friendly young women help her to chart her own erotic map. Claudine becomes Claude and, at the hotel where she works, meets mature attractive Helen with whom she explores a new approach to love. Being with Claude makes for tension, and in the film’s grand finale, everything and (almost) everyone end up in a hotel bed…'

Produced by Cheryl Dunye, this movie is an ode to the lust and leather of Berlin.

FemmeTech: How to change a tap washer

Femmes are capable of doing anything they put their minds to, and here's another skill to add to your arsenal.
Leaking taps are annoying, but they're very quick and easy to fix yourself. All you need is an adjustable wrench, a screwdriver (to lift off the 'Hot' or 'Cold' button top) and a washer kit you can get at Bunnings for a couple of dollars.

You (basically) turn off your water at the water meter (or under your sink in a unit), remove the tap handle to expose the tap bonnet and spindle.
Unscrew the bonnet/spindle with your wrench to expose the washers and change them over.
Screw everything back in the same order you took it out.

Handmade Holidays

The holiday season can sometimes feel a bit out of control and more like a way to support the capitalist machine than showing you care. What about making presents for your loved ones – spending time instead of money? Check out these hand-made gift ideas for inspiration:
